Bowsden Bed & Breakfast is situated in the sleepy village of Bowsden close to St Cuthbert's Way. It is ideally located between the Cheviot Hills, Alnwick with its Castle and Garden and Holy Island. Children are welcome to play in the garden but as there is a small fish pond they must be supervised. Dogs are welcome to stay provided all vaccinations including kennel cough are up to date. However for the comfort of our future guests they are not allowed in the bedrooms. West View has two beautifully furnished bed rooms with private bathroom facilities. Choose from either a double/family room or a twin bedroom. Each room has tea and coffee making facilities and hairdryers. There is a cloakroom which backs onto our range cooker. As this is always on to provide our guests with lots of lovely hot water this is where wet clothes and boots can be left overnight to dry and keep warm ready for the next day. All guests are offered tea/coffee and biscuits in the lounge on arrival. Walkers and cyclists can take advantage of our welcome soup/sandwich, tea/coffee menu on the day of arrival providing this is pre booked. We also provide bath robes for the comfort of our guests. Rooms are available between 4pm and 9pm on the day of arrival although late arrivals can be accomodated. There is a wide choice of shopping and leisure facilities available on your doorstep. Berwick has a golf course, sports centre and the Maltings art centre for theatre and cinema goers. There are also weekly street markets plus a farmer's market, held on the last Sunday of each month. |
