Built in 1860, this elegant B&B is 4 miles from James Madison's Montpelier estate and 12.7 miles from the Nichols Galleries.
The plush rooms feature pillow-top mattresses, Wi-Fi, flat-screen HDTVs and private or en suite bathrooms (some with whirlpool or claw-foot tubs). Suites add stocked minifridges, tiled bathrooms, fireplaces and/or sitting areas with brocade-style sofas.
Breakfast is served in a formal dining room, and complimentary wine and cheese is served on some evenings. There's also a living room with a flat-screen TV, plus a business room and a library. The grounds are centered around a courtyard with a fountain.
