Set in a series of converted 18th-century stone buildings on a 100-acre farm, this secluded resort is 7 miles from the Jurassic Coast, and 8 miles from Monmouth Beach.
Rustic-chic rooms and barns come with free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, minifridges and coffee machines. Suites add lounges with sofabeds. The barns sleep up to 16, and most have kitchens. Some add timber beams, wood-burning stoves, exposed-stone walls, and hot tubs.
On-site activities include fishing in the Axe River which runs through the grounds, archery, clay pigeon shooting, plus cheese and wine tasting, pottery and dancing. There's also a spa and kids' play areas.
