The ancestral home of the O'Cahan clan, this upscale hotel in a 15th-century castle on 22 acres of landscaped gardens is 18 miles from the walled city of Derry. Elegant bedrooms and suites featuring handcrafted 16th-century style furnishings, flat-screen TVs, free WiFi and designer decor have views of the Sperrin Mountains. Some rooms offer separate seating areas in turrets and chandelier lighting.
The chic restaurant serves international cuisine in a plush dining room mixing contemporary and classic decor. An event space in a turret accessed by a spiral staircase has space for 40 guests. Larger parties can be accommodated in a garden tent.
