Once an 18th-century coaching inn, this family-run hotel and restaurant in Snowdonia National Park is 7 minutes' walk from the Dolwyddelan railway station and 4.8 miles from Llechwedd Slate Caverns.
Bright individually decorated rooms (some with wood-beamed ceilings) feature en suite bathrooms, and tea and coffeemakers. All have TVs, DVD players and free WiFi. Rooms with 4-poster beds have views over the Lledr Valley and river. Suites add rooms with bunk beds. A bunkhouse is also available.
