Fieldhouse offers a high standard self catering apartment in a small picturesque village located just a few miles from the beautiful Northumbrian coastline and within easy reach of the vibrant City of Newcastle. We offer everything we would wish for ourselves in self catering accommodation and pride ourselves on being comfortable, spacious and accommodating. A feeling of being in the country but with all amenities close by. The nearest local shops are 10 minutes walk away and there are 2 village pubs offering good food for those days when you just don't want to cook! Fieldhouse is located in the picturesque village of Old Killingworth, just a few miles from the beautiful Northumbrian coastline of Whitley Bay, Tynemouth and Seaton Sluice .The coastal villages of Craster, known worldwide for its kippers,Bamburgh and Seahouses are approximately 3/4 of an hour drive North. You will never be short of stunning sights and unforgettable days out when you visit us. Of course, there's the world famous Hadrian's Wall, Roman Britain's biggest building project that still dominates the countys landscape almost 2,000 years after it was constructed. American newspaper USA Today described the wall as better than Stonehenge. If you are a lover of gardens and grand stately homes, then Northumberland has plenty to offer. Of course you will have heard of The Alnwick Garden, the finest contemporary garden in the UK, but other equally delightful gardens can be found at Howick Hall and Cragside Estate to name but a few.
