Set on a biodynamic farm, this unfussy rainforest eco-lodge is 15 km from the Children's eternal rainforest and 17 km from the town of La Fortuna.
Built in houses constructed out of fallen wood, the cozy rooms have private bathrooms with hot water, and a shared, open-air dining/lounge area and wrap-around porch. There are no TVs. Upgraded rooms add air-conditioning, and detached bungalows have daybeds and outdoor sitting areas.
There's free breakfast in the main lodge, and a chic eatery, as well as a solar-heated Jacuzzi, an outdoor pool and a spa. A rainforest trail is on-site, as is a medicinal plant sanctuary and a yoga pavilion.
