Set in an idyllic coastal position Meadow View offers a quiet retreat in a glorious setting. Within easy reach of the M5 at Bridgwater or Taunton, Blue Anchor is well placed for a number of tourist attractions - go for a ride on a steam train on the West Somerset Railway, a wander around Dunster Castle and medieval village or catch the bus or train to Minehead where you could transfer to a sightseeing tour of Exmoor or the coast There is something for all ages here. Meadow View itself offers self-catering accommodation for up to 5 guests in 2 bedrooms, and has a well equipped kitchen, lounge , dining room and bathroom plus a second toilet with wash basin. From the rear of the property there is a stunning panoramic view of Blue Anchor Bay, the surrounding countryside and the hills of Exmoor beyond. The view is only interrupted by the occasional steam train approaching or leaving Blue Anchor Station. The rear garden is large and enclosed, perfect for children. Meadow View has been recently updated in a charming, country style to provide a comfortable stay. A number of personal touches have been added making all the difference to the enjoyment of the guests. Blue Anchor sea front with long, level promenade and the West Somerset Railway Station are only 150 yds away. There are a number of cycling and walking opportunities, local maps are provided (Dunster is 2½ miles across the fields and Minehead is 3 miles along the coast). For trips further a-field, the edge of Exmoor National Park is only a mile away, the towns of Minehead and Watchet (ancient sea port) are about 4 miles, Tropiquaria Animal and Adventure Park is 4 miles and for a main shopping centre, Taunton is 20 miles. And if you prefer something more restful then you can enjoy sitting on the patio or in the lounge and watch the steam trains go by or the sun go down over the sea or hills (depending on the season) at the end of the day.
