The Podwale Apartment offers comfortable Warsaw accommodation for up to 4 people, within walking distance of all the sights of the Old Town. The Podwale Apartment is on the first floor of a traditional apartment building on Podwale Street. From the large windows in the living room you can enjoy excellent views of the Jan Kilinski monument and other landmarks of the oldest district in Poland's capital city. During an extended stay, you can use the apartment's washer and dryer or request that the staff provide its inexpensive laundry and ironing services. Baby cots are not included in the room rate and cost PLN 30,00. The apartment management also offers an airport shuttle service, subject to charges. The Podwale Apartment is cleaned and linens are changed for free each week during guests' stay; more frequent cleanings and linen service are available for an extra charge. The apartment is well located in Warsaw's Old Town (called Stare Miasto in Polish, and nicknamed Starowka). It is just around the corner from the restaurants and bars of ulica Piwna (Beer Street) and the baroque facade of St. Martin's Church (Koscioł sw. Marcina). The Podwale Apartment is a 5 minute walk from the 14th century Market Square (Rynek Starego Miasta), which home to shops, cafes, and a statue of Jan Kilinski, a shoemaker who led the Warsaw Uprising of 1794 against Russian control. Nearby are the Gothic St. John's Cathedral (Katedra sw. Jana), one of Poland's national pantheons, and the Warsaw Barbican, a relic of the fortifications that surrounded the city in 1540. At Castle Square (plac Zamkowy), you can tour the rooms of the Royal Castle, once an official residence of the Polish monarchs. The Podwale Apartment is within walking distance of the Ratusz station for the Warsaw Metro and the Stare Miasto tram (streetcar) station.
