Punta Chivato is an enchanting place situated among the beautiful Baja Californian wildlife. This charming location is a pleasant surprise for all our guests that venture to it, however it is important to come prepared and with the proper expectations so as to not be caught by surprise with its distinctiveness.
The desert and wildlife are the true hosts here at Punta Chivato. It is a must for all the guests to indulge in what it has to offer in order to appreciate its beauty and magic. Desert hikes and long walks along the nature trails are truly the best way to appreciate the hotel and the surrounding areas.
It is this seclusion from other urban settings that makes Punta Chivato so extraordinary. Located on the Sea of Cortez all guests must travel off the main highway on an 18 km unpaved dirt road. This drive should only be attempted during daylight hours since there are no lighted directional signs to assist with nighttime navigation. For water the hotel relies on its own desalinization plant and generators guarantee the daily electrical needs.
