The Telang Usan was created with a vision in mind - a hotel who's service reflected the friendly culture of Sarawak, that showcased authentic Sarawakian art and conformed to international Hoteliers' standards of comfort and cleanliness and a hotel that created job opportunities for Sarawakians, offering the opportunity to train and familiarise them to the demanding standards of professionalism in the Industry. Miri is known as the gateway to Northern Sarawak and is indeed the start of journeys into the interior of Sarawak and to the world-famous Mulu Caves. The Telang Usan was officially opened in November 1997 and reflects the standards of service and decoration held by its Kuching conterpart. Special emphasis was placed on the comforts of travelling families, and hence larger suite rooms are available. The Hotel is conveniently located between Miri Airport and the town centre, and has breath-taking views of the Lambir Hill range. |
