Home baking and a cup of tea are offered on your arrival at this 4-star, 200-year old farmhouse, which boasts private fishing on the River Suir and stunning mountain views. The house is set in 2 acres of beautiful gardens, and hearty, home-cooked breakfasts are provided.

Overlooking the large front garden and the distant Knockmealdown Mountains, each warmly furnished room at Kilmaneen Farmhouse features crisp, white bed linen and free Wi-Fi. With an en suite bathroom, every room also includes tea/coffee facilities, and some have a TV.

Home-grown fruit and vegetables feature prominently in the extensive breakfast menu, including rhubarb muffins, juice from the farm's apples, or bowls of fresh berries. Traditional, full Irish breakfasts are available, as well as pancakes with maple syrup or scrambled egg with bacon.

You can take a course in beekeeping, cooking, or growing your own fruit and vegetables are available at Kilmaneen. Guests can wander the spacious gardens, see the varied wildlife, and watch the grazing cows in the fields.

Trout and salmon fishing can be enjoyed along 0.9 miles of water on the rivers Suir and Tar which surround the farm. Equipment hire can be arranged, and the farm can freeze, smoke or cook caught fish for guests.

You can park for free at the farmhouse, and the nearby Knockmealdown Mountains feature numerous beautiful and scenic walks. Plenty of experienced advice on walks can be provided by the owners.
