Situated within an acre of grounds in the Northumberland National Park, Vallum lodge is just over half a mile from the most beautiful section of Hadrians Wall. With a 4 star silver award from Enjoy England for exceptional quality and hospitality we have 6 comfortable en suite rooms, all on the ground floor with open country views and many luxury extras including flatscreen TV with Freeview, complimentary WiFi, hospitality tray for hot drinks and an affordable minibar with a selection of drinks and snacks. Relax in the comfortable residents lounge which contains a selection of games, books, magazines, travel guides and TV/DVD. A substantial breakfast is cooked to order while you help yourself to our cold buffet of juices, fresh fruits, cereals, yoghourts etc. If you are arriving by car we have a large private car park and we are within easy reach of all the major Roman sites. The beautiful Northumberland coast, the North Pennines, Kielder Forest and the North Lakes are all within an hour's drive. We are ideally situated for walkers and cyclists - we have secure storage for cycles - and we can help you with planning your itinerary, luggage forwarding and lifts to and from the Hadrians Wall Trail. We will pick you up from local transport links at no extra charge. Wet walking gear can be dried for you and we can provide laundry facilities if required Excellent meals and real ales are available all day every day at the Twice Brewed Inn, only 200 metres away.
