Set in the serene western fells, this picturesque, pink granite hostel dates from the 1930's and is 1.7 miles from Hardknott Roman Fort archaeological site, 3 miles from Hardknott Pass, a direct route to much of West Cumbria, and 14 miles from Scafell Pike, England's tallest mountain.
The simple private and dorm rooms feature sinks, storage cupboards and shared bathrooms.
