The Zhongtang hotel was built toward the end of the Ming Dynasty. It is a traditionally restored 'Si He Yuan', a compound of houses around a square courtyard, which is representative of pure ancient Chinese culture and style. It is located at No.12 Xisi Beiertiao hutong, Xi Cheng District, Beijing. It was the former residence of the prime minister in feudal China during the Qing Dynasty.
